The Grapefruit Crush may be the new drink on the block at The Starboard, but The $7 Bullshark is the bar's old-school house drink, mixing Smirnoff orange and raspberry vodkas and champagne with orange and cranberry juices along with a splash of Red Bull.
Best enjoyed on a Sunday afternoon out on the sandy deck along the water, northbeach's frozen Dewey Devil just might be the town's best-known cocktail. The combination of light rum, 151 proof rum (hey oh!), blackberry brandy, orange juice, strawberries and cream is a downright tradition.
Stiff Long Island ice teas have been synonymous with the Summer House for years. Normally $7, the mind-bending concoctions are $4.50 on Tuesdays. Be sure to order it by its full name, Mooney's ice tea, named after a former bartender.
The Bottle & Cork's signature drink was big years ago, but can still be found if you catch a bartender in the know. Ask for The Big Guy: a mix of Captain Morgan rum, vodka, creme de almond, orange and pineapple juices.
The only way to celebrate the beginning of a Dewey Beach weekend: Head to Taco Toss at The Lighthouse on a Friday, grab a spot on the deck as the sun sets and order a fresh-squeezed Orange Crush. $7.
