Last year we highlighted the upcoming Wilmington Blue Rocks schedule, which looked more like a pop culture trip back through the '80s and '90s, with theme games like "Indiana Jones Night," "Big Lebowski Night" and "Carny Night."
This season we'll see more of the same, as the marketing wizards down at Frawley have been busy in the off-season coming up with more attractions to get fans out to the ballpark. Here's a peek at what they have in store.
Double Dare Night, April 21, 6:35 p.m. * Definitely take the physical challenge on this night, when all things slime and goop will take over Judy Johnson Field. (No word on whether or not Marc Summers will show up.)
Phillies Night, May 4, 6:35 p.m. * If you haven't had a chance to feast your eyes on the World Series trophy yet, this would be the night to go see it in a great baseball atmosphere.
Guinness World Record Night, June 19, 7:05 p.m * This might be your best chance to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records, unless you plan on living to be 130 or learning to toss a very, very large pizza. The Blue Rocks and their fans are going to attempt to get into the record books tonight, for having the most people simultaneously sing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes."
Classic Video Game Day, July 19, 1:35 p.m. * Are you unbeatable at Ms. Pac Man? Do you still hold the high score in Frogger? Are you still an Atari legend? Be there tonight, as they celebrate the era of the joystick.
Cowboy Monkey Rodeo Night, July 31, 7:05 p.m. * So, here's the deal. This spectacle, collectively known as "Team Ghost Riders," involves real, live monkeys, dressed in cowboys outfits, riding on the backs of dogs. See 'ya there.
Let's Make A Deal Night, July 28, 7:05 p.m. * Keep your eyes peeled for a Monty Hall look-alike on the field, where the normal in-game promotions will be let's-make-a-deal oriented.
Richard Simmons Night, Sept. 4, 7:05 p.m. * Break out the spandex and afro puffs for a night of sweatin' to the oldies, deal-a-meal style. (OK, that's all we've got on Richard Simmons puns.)
Many of the theme nights this year are centered around some of our favorite classic TV shows. Here's a look at the television-inspired theme nights they have planned.

Cheap tix
No one can complain that it's too expensive to go to a baseball game, with the deals that the Blue Rocks are offering this year.
Tickets to games on April 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 will be just $2 for reserved and general admission seats, and box and upper box seats will be only $3.
Here are the rules for getting the deal: First, you have to buy your tickets before April 11. Secondly, you can only buy them by calling 888-BLUE or by going to the ticket office at the stadium. You're also limited to buying eight tickets per person per game.
This is in addition to their previously announced Family Stimulus plan, where a family of four can go to a game, get hot dogs, soda and popcorn for dinner, and get a program and two pennants for $54.50. For those of us who are a party of two without kids, it comes out to $32.50. (However, we will admit, that doesn't count beer. But it's still a deal.)
