A mid-week beach retreat

We admit it. We're guilty. When it comes to playing up an excursion to the Delaware beaches for the weekend, we're a bunch of enablers. We've been doing it for years, and quite frankly, we're kind of okay with it. The bands, the booze, the sun, even the crowds are all part of a weekend experience that's like none other.
But a mid-week trip to Dewey Beach in the month of June provided quite the surprising little funplex, despite the lack of a Taco Toss, Jam Session or sea of metal and rubber clogging up Highway One.
The jaunt included two entertaining rock shows at the self-titled "greatest rock 'n roll bar in the world," and it took less than a day and a half out of the office to make it happen.
