A bagel and some bogeys
Up the next morning around 10 a.m. and my first stop was to the sun-drenched porch of a fairly new bagel eatery in Rehoboth, called The Shop, located just above the Times Square shopping center on the Avenue, across from the Hooters.
The view was pleasant, with shoppers and beach-goers milling about below, and the crispy bagel with bacon, egg and cheese put to rest my mild little hangover.
Their wi-fi access (though no outlets to plug in your laptop) allowed for about three hours of work in the faint sun while sipping on a large, hot coffee.
Satisfied with my output for the day, I made my way up Highway One for some cheap golf at the Midway Par-3, where just $13 apiece got a friend and I access to 18 holes of uncrowded green.
Try this on a weekend and you're sure to sit behind the family of six out for a leisurely afternoon. But on a Thursday in June? Well, let's just say we didn't have to yell "Fore!" all day.
