Last year, Metromix decided to have a little fun and assemble a highly subjective list of the 50 hottest women in music. But hotness is fleeting (and we have short attention spans), so one year later, we've decided to revisit our list and update it for 2011.
As with last year's hot list, we're not applying a Maxim-like standard of hotness here: Our hot ladies come in all ages, shapes and sizes, from every genre of music. Hotness is not merely skin-deep. And we're also definiing hotness in terms of talent—so as you're feasting your eyes on these 50 lovely ladies, we encourage you to fire up your Spotify account (if you have one) and feast your ears on our "Hottest women in music playlist."
In revising our 2011 hot list, we took suggestions and input from Metromix writers, editors and producers across the country, as well as feedback from you, our readers. If you disagree with any of our picks or omissions (and we're sure you will), leave a comment below. Who knows? Maybe your favorite female artist will show up our 2012 list.
