10 Arts by Eric Ripert

Jennifer Carroll, the chef de cuisine at 10 Arts by Eric Ripert in the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia,  made it all the way to the top four on Bravo's "Top Chef." We went to visit and found some very smart food and very delicious desserts. As we walked into 10 Arts, we were confronted by the massive marble columns and soaring, domed atrium of the lobby of the Ritz Carlton. There's a round wine room directly in the center of the lobby, surrounded by high-top tables and sofas of the hotel bar. Back and behind that, we found the dining room of 10 Arts. The room is open to the lobby, but set off enough that you don't feel like you're eating in the hotel bar. The curtains, booths and chairs ranged from burgundy to fiery orange to ruby, and a pink-tinted two-way mirror allows you see into the kitchen.
