Good wholesome food with flavor!

Overall rating:

The food here is so tasty and fresh you'll never know it's so good for you. There is always a daily special or soup of the day. I enjoy the relaxed cafe atmosphere too. Sometimes they have a live music or special events. Overall a great place to sit down and eat.

Trendy feel with Organic and Local foods

I recently walked into Fresh Thymes Cafe in the 40 acres neighborhood. There were great colors on the wall, and the place smelled amazing. I quickly found out the cafe is owned by a mother-daughter team who are working with local farmers and make almost everything from scratch. They had vegetarian, gluten-free options as well as carnivore delights. Signs were posted on the wall displaying events at the cafe. They do different pre-fixe dinners. My friends and I plan on having a Girls Night Out Party. They close the cafe down to just my friends and I and customize a meal. We are so looking forward to this. They also occassionally have live music events as well as nutrition classes. The food far surpassed my expectations , and the ladies are very friendly. I enjoyed the Chilled Asparagus Mint soup and the Bison Taco wrap. My friend had a beautiful Island Salad which was local spring greens with fresh organic fruit and cinnamon toast. The presentation of the food is also enjoyable. I highly recommend this place. It has a Philly feel with the freshest food you will find in Delaware.
