Party booked for child needed to cancel or move to another day due to being unable to meet requirement of 10 children for party. Was told could not have refund nor move to another date for a smaller event. Try explaining this to a 4yr old!!
JohnD123 wrote about Lestardo's Crab House
Hi, I am a local. I have lived in Delaware for 55yrs. I have eaten at Lestardos with my Family at least twice. Lestardos has it's ups and downs. In the last three years it has been mediocre at best. First off, at first impression. you notice the old. out dated bar which is a hang out for the so called "old timers". It really does not have a Family atmosphere. Kinda like a old musty, beer soaked bar smell. The food on the menu is mostly fried. You can see into the kitchen when you go to the restrooms. I stopped going there after I saw how filthy, dirty it was in their small kitchen!!! I really don't understand how they can pass a health inspection. Back to the food. The crabs seemed dry. The waitress told us that they re-heat the crabs. She said they get crabs once, or twice a week, then cook them all at once. I was very disappointed, to say the least. I will not recommend Lestardos to anyone. I felt like I was ripped off! I don't feel they will be around to long. Very disappointed, John Darnel New Castle, Delaware

My husband and I discovered Hobo's during opening week and have become huge fans. We introduce it to all of our friends -- who in turn also become huge fans. Gretchen takes time out from the kitchen, ordhestrating the marvelous food, to greet guests and mingle among the tables. She makes you feel welcome and at the same time create an atmosphere of an intimate gathering of friends. Hobo's is a treasure!!!
bobsobus wrote about Little Rock Lizzie's Cafe
My wife and I first tried Little Rock for what we thought would be a perfectly mundane breakfast-how much can you do with bacon and eggs? We were pleasantly surprised. The home fries were like nothing we've ever had, the eggs cooked to perfection, the bacon extra thick with a genuine smoked flavor in generous quantity. Even the rye toast was exceptional-not the bagged bread you find at most eateries. To top it off the plate was served with a sprig of fresh herb cut from the garden 60 seconds before serving!! We had to sample the homemade pastries, and opted for the fresh baked cinnamon rolls-pleasantly warm and gooey with a butter based icing- Oh sooo good. Can't wait to try their Lobster Roll for lunch!!
foodygirl wrote about The Exchange on Market
I am a frequent customer of the Exchange for lunch but I have only been there once for dinner. The ambiance is nice, the staff is friendly, and the service is good. Big portions are not how I rate food and the portions are large here. I think food should be fresh, cooked properly, look good, and most of all taste great. When I eat out I expect the food to be at least equivalent to what I could cook at home. That is not the case at the Exchange. I suspect the restaurant wastes a lot of money in plating the large portions some reviewers have appreciated simply because they are too large for most people to eat and certainly more than what people should be eating. Everything I have ever tried there has been mediocre. Most of the food, while it looks good, is lacking in seasoning making everything seem bland and unmemorable. Also, I have been served greens that were not the freshest which leads me to question the freshness of all of the food.

Iguana Grill has the best quesadillas I have ever had. We always have a great time at trivia on Thursday nights! Great food and prices! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
micky commented on Wood-fired wonders at Firebirds Grill
As far as restaurants go, what ever happened to having service that isn't pushy and impersonal? The food is decent but the service seems like they all learned how to talk at a telemarketing company. People don't want to hear a speech.
SocializeMe wrote about Club Bistro and Restaurant
Found the listing by accident while looking at another on MetroMix & was intrigued by the review written by Rob Kalesse. My friends & I decided to try it out & so glad we did! These guys need to ADVERTISE a lot more because the atmosphere is great, the music was diverse & the food was outstanding - BUT we had never heard of it & it doesn't really look like much from the outside. I worried as we parked that it might have been a mistake to come. We were the only late-night diners on a Sat. nite & the bar was steady but not really busy. As fast as new restaraunts can go under, I would HATE to see The Club have that fate. I will be encouraging my contacts to at least try it & I look forward to going back!
Barbinde wrote about Ole Tapas Lounge
This is a delightful new restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly, romantic. Hubby and I have dined there several times--each time is better than the last. Their Paella is wonderful and enough to feed six easily. The tapas varieties change every week so you get to try new flavors and the Chef will make anything you ask for. Ole also has the best coffee around! Prices are in line with this type of upscale restaurant. There are specials every week and many nights items (food or drink) are two for the price of one.

luvinfabfood wrote about Kooma
I live on the Riverfront and was super excited when Kooma finally opened in May. The lunch crowd is primarily composed of business people but the dinner crowd is an even more sophisticated and lively group. The food from both kitchens is spectacular. My personal favorites are the Ali, 007, and Sakura rolls from the sushi bar, and the Sweet Rib eye from the main kitchen. On Fridays and Saturdays there is a live DJ and a dance floor; and while at first the crowd was a little bit shady the management has done a great job of drawing in a decent and lively crowd. The bartenders are friendly and creative. They easily recognize regulars and always greet me with a warm welcome. My only real complaint is the unpredictable service. I've found that it varies from server to server. Most are friendly and really know the menu and are genuinely happy to help you make your selections but a few others seem slightly aloof and don't care about their customers. Fortunately, I have noticed that Kooma is doing a great job of weeding out the under qualified servers. Overall I am more than satisfied with Kooma's opening. I think their arrival is going to help bring new life to the Riverfront and they will continue to improve in every way. I recommend requesting table 34 when you are being seated. The table is right in front of the lead sushi chef and he is very friendly and often offers his customers with yummy samples. You should absolutely give Kooma a try and find out for yourself how delicious their spin on Asian Fusion is.
